IASCA and hopefully/eventually USACi, and if MECA makes a simultaneous two-seat judged class. |
| How long have you been competing? |
16 years (1988-2004). I may return some day when the moon is in phase, the Libertarian Party has a man in the White House, and/or when cash shows come back (oh wait…d’oh). |
| What is the one award you are most proud of? (Or Competition won) |
First Expert World Championship in 1998. |

My first completion was back at the age of eleven when I figured out how to throw a nice spiral. My first competition was May 1988. |
| What is your favorite show you have been to? |
Toss-up between Spring Break Nationals (when the show and competition were at the same venue) and the Perry Southeastern Invitational Sound Challenge. |
| What is the biggest challenge you as a competitor face? |
Finding the right chemical to use on vinyl so it doesn’t look to greasy, but still looks clean, and doesn’t cause glue failure in the sun. |
| Do you belong to any teams? If so, which ones? |
/begin blatant plug/ The best team on earth, winners of more IASCA World Championships in 2007 than all other front stage speaker manufacturers combined, Team Hybrids, the official competition team of Hybrid Audio Technologies. /end blatant plug/ |
| What is the ONE car you wish you could listen to? |
The one in my shop that currently has 9,000+ hours of labor, and I’ve never heard all of the speakers play simultaneously. |
| Who was the biggest influence on your current car? |
Visa. Don’t leave home without it. |
| What is the one piece of equipment you wish you owned? |
A 6’ tall blonde in stiletto heels to give my presentation to the judges. |
| What is the one piece of equipment you wish you never sold? |
Probably an Orion HCCA225 with its bridging module, ca 1989, or that blonde in stiletto heels. |
